Team communications in areas with limited or no LTE coverage is a challenge. The ability to coordinate between and within teams is an essential requirement for wildland fire fighting, disaster response, and more. At IWCE 2023, vendors brought solutions for sustaining team communications when wide area coverage is spotty.

TrellisWare Technologies is a longstanding pioneering supplier of high-performance MANET mesh radio solutions for defense and public safety. Its widely deployed TSM waveform, which implements mesh connectivity with a resilience feature called Barrage Relay, is at the center of the company's success. The approach eliminates routing between the mesh nodes and ensures an ultra-high level of resilience.

At IWCE, TrellisWare Technologies showed its Core Board Module that has been integrated into several field-deployed mesh products from other vendors. The company also showed its flagship TW950 radio and a mock-up of a public safety deployment supporting TAK. .
