A revolutionary element of the FirstNet deployment in the US is the emergence of agency-purchased deployable assets. California-based Rescue 42 operates in a region prone to massive wildland fires, and its team has experience supporting the logistical requirements that accompany large-scale emergency responses. That experience led them to bring the Compact Rapid Deployable (CRD) system to markets. While the Rescue 42 CRD continues to gain adoption, agencies sought an even more flexible option that can be transported on commercial flights as checked baggage. The new Rescue 42 miniCRD does just that with two cases, including one supporting high-performance, affordable Starlink backhaul capability.
Thanks to Rescue 42 CEO Tim O'Connell for the detailed look at this compelling new form factor developed in collaboration with AT&T.
