Several years ago, Australian police agencies, including Queensland Police Service and Western Australia Police (WA Police), embraced the Apple ecosystem for field force workflow improvements. Subsequently, Motorola Solutions acquired Gridstone, an Australian software specialist that cast the law enforcement business case into an appealing Apple framework that took full advantage of high-quality nationwide LTE service. The most recent step for WA Police is to extend the benefits of the Apple ecosystem to create a safer clean cockpit in a patrol cruiser. At IACP, Motorola Solutions showed the fruit of its work in Australia to inspire similar innovation in North America. The demonstration shows a sample CarPlay integration for Motorola Solution's PremierOne Computer Aided Dispatch system.
