Told in Their Own Words: Transparent Antennas from CHASM

Antennas are commonly metal but carbon nanotube technology (CNT) advances enable an alternative that may serve challenging use cases for public safety. At Mobile World Congress, CHASM Advanced Materials showed a wide variety of antenna form factors that blends 100 nm (yes, tiny!) carbon nanotubes with a copper mesh to create a flexible printed circuit that is a transparent conductor. Notably, the company claims this thin, flexible antenna will perform as well as traditional PCB antennas.
For public safety, the printable antennas enable window-mounted antennas that eliminate the need to drill holes in vehicles. Antenna specialist Taoglas has added the CHASM functionality to its family of antenna options.
